A permaculture garden at a Bradford primary school has been opened by Bradford South MP Gerry Sutcliffe.
The garden, at Newhall Park Primary School, will be used to bring new educational opportunities to pupils, as well as increase the biodiversity of the Bierley area.
Head teacher Pauline Whyte said: “The permaculture garden is helping the children to understand the relationship between people and the natural world, how natural systems support and sustain us and how we can help to enhance natural systems.
“This is an invaluable resource for the school.”
The garden has been funded by Prologis as part of the Planet Positive certification for the Marks & Spencer distribution centre at Prologis Park, Bradford.
It garden was designed by Bradford Council staff and built by Bradford Environmental Education Service.
