A keen home baker has set up a cupcake competition in Bradford.
Sharon Hodges started baking cupcakes and others cakes as a hobby for family and friends.
“I find baking very therapeutic. Having spent quite a lot of time at home over the past couple of years I started watching the American TV programme CupcakeWars and I thought I could organise something like that,” she said.
“On September 1 my dream became reality when I held what I believe is Bradford’s first cupcake competition. I had such positive feedback that I now have the next one booked for Saturday, October 20, at St John’s Church, Greengates .
“The competitions give like-minded people the opportunity to get together and discuss their ideas and techniques.”
Now she plans to start a cupcake club.
“It would be somewhere people could meet up once a month to decorate cupcakes and discuss recipes and business ideas.
“I think this would be a great way to bring people across Bradford together and give them chance to get to meet others who share the same interest.”
