A film club is set to run monthly double bills at a traditional picture house which celebrates its centenary next year.
Organisers of Keighley Film Club plan to screen independent films at the Picture House cinema in North Street, alongside an older classic, cult or independent movie.
Also planned are back-to-back screenings of film series such as Star Wars, Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter.
Club secretary and founded Bob Thorp said: “There's lots of British independent cinema that never comes to Keighley. It could cost £10 to get to see a film in Bradford but we think it would be cheaper in Keighley.”
The club plans to co-ordinate with other film societies across the region.
Anyone interested in joining the club should visit its Facebook page by searching for ‘Keighley film club’ or by calling 07794 371160.
