A funding bid in support of a £32,900 project to improve access to Otley Chevin will be made next week.
The Friends of Chevin Park are asking for a £2,500 contribution towards a scheme that will rebuild drystone walls and create three disabled parking bays at Surprise View car park, off Yorkgate. The work will also include improvements to wheelchair-accessible paths.
The Leeds North West (Outer) Area Committee will consider the request, with several others for schemes in Aireborough and Horsforth , when it meets on Monday. Coun Sandy Lay (Lib Dem, Otley and Yeadon ) said: “This is a very popular and well used car park. The reparation works will make the car park easier for everyone to use and will hopefully attract even more people.”
