A music school has celebrated its fifth year in Saltaire with a £25,000 makeover.
The Yamaha Music School, now known as the Yorkshire Music School, has six studios in its premises, based at Salts Mill.
Keyboard, guitar, vocals, piano and drums are taught in the school.
“I felt with our anniversary coming up it was time to expand. We managed to secure more space in the mill and this summer two new studios were created,” said principal Rino Grice.
“Five years ago we moved two teachers and an administrator here, now we have around ten teachers and two administrators.”
Last week teachers from the school visited local schools to perform to inspire students to take up music.
