Danielle Shore got itchy feet working as an usherette at the Plaza Cinema in Skipton while waiting to start her studies at University College in Preston.
The large green door into the stalls was calling out for the attention of an artist – somebody with a bit of vision.
So, along came Danielle, 18, of Skipton, who is to study fine art and image-making. She transformed the door into an image of what cinema-goers could expect once inside the stalls area.
“The thing was people often didn’t know where the entrance to the stall was – they stood about scratching their heads. Now they do,” said Danielle.
But she hasn’t finished her artistry yet – she has transformed another door by bringing to life images from the Disney classic Alice In Wonderland.
“She’s done fantastically well – we love it,” said manager Paul Stone. “It has made such a difference. You never know – we might encourage her to have a go at the ceiling and have our own version of the Sistine Chapel!”
