Change-of-use proposals have been submitted to turn Leeds City College’s recently-closed Otley Centre, on Charles Street, altered to create three two-bedroom flats.
The college confirmed it was going to close the Otley facility, which ran adult education courses covering everything from computing to criminology, earlier this summer – blaming the decision on falling demand and Government cuts.
Councillor Ryk Downes (Lib Dem, Otley & Yeadon ) has been holding discussions with the college, and Leeds City Council officers, to try to locate a new base.
