Bradford audiences are invited to have the time of their lives when a stage show inspired by hit movie Dirty Dancing comes to town.
The show stars Paul Doody, who won TV’s Stars In Their Eyes with his portrayal of Wet Wet Wet’s lead singer Marti Pellow. His winning performance was watched by 12 million viewers.
In A Night Of Dirty Dancing he replaces Ben Forster, who went on to win ITV’s Superstar talent search for a leading man for Andrew Lloyd Webber’s rock musical, Jesus Christ Superstar.
Producer Michael Taylor calls A Night Of Dirty Dancing a “superbly-choreographed tribute to the greatest dance movie of all time. It’s a celebration of a moment in time on which the world looks back fondly.”
The show includes hits from the film, including She’s Like The Wind, Hey Baby, Wipeout, Do You Love Me, Hungry Eyes and the memorable Time Of My Life. There is also a touching tribute to the film’s star, Patrick Swayze.
A Night of Dirty Dancing is at St George’s Hall on Thursday, December 13. For tickets, ring (01274) 432000.
