One of the men trying to rescue Bradford Bulls has urged fans to turn out in force at Odsal tomorrow and show rugby bosses the strength of support for the club.
The Bulls take on Hull FC in their final home match of the regular season game bidding for a place in the play-offs.
And Bradford South MP Gerry Sutcliffe wants fans to turn out in their numbers to back Mick Potter’s side and show the Rugby Football League (RFL) the Bulls are a Super League club in name and nature.
The Bulls have been in administration for more than two months but local businessman Omar Khan, aided by Mr Sutcliffe, appear favourites to buy the club from administrator Brendan Guilfoyle.
But Mr Sutcliffe said regardless of the outcome of any bid, he backed a call by Bulls interim chief executive Gary Tasker for “fan power” to show the strength of backing for the beleaguered club.
Members of the RFL board are expected to meet today and it is hoped a decision could be revealed tonight.
