Food left behind by festival-goers has boosted stock at the Bradford Metropolitan Food Bank.
Volunteers from the charity joined Bradford Bronte Rotary Club and Scouts to collect tinned food from the Leeds Festival site once the festival had finished on Monday.
“We collected about 90 boxes of food and drink, mainly tinned beans, meat and soup and noodles,” said Keith Thomson from the food bank, which distributes food parcels to families and individuals in need.
“The weather on Monday was terrible and all the packet food was destroyed in the rain, unfortunately. People had left behind good-quality tents, sleeping-bags, camping stoves and clothes. There were people from homeless charities collecting them.”
