Police horse and dog displays will be held at an annual open day organised by Keighley police.

There will be attractions including martial arts, face-painting, games and a bouncy castle at the event, at the police’s headquarters in Royd Ings Avenue on Sunday, September 9.

Officers will also give out crime prevention advice and take visitors on tours of the police station.

The event is from 11am to 3pm.

Sergeant Craig Marshall, of the Keighley Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “The open day is one of our highlights and this year we’re very pleased with the attractions on offer to residents for what should be a fun day, which will give people an insight into what policing is about. Visits from our mounted officers and police dogs are always a highlight, while our own officers are planning plenty of fun themselves.”

He added: “The open days remain a great chance for us to meet residents informally, get to know them better and also provide some crime prevention advice and guidance in an informal setting.”
