The Rugby Football League has held final meetings with the last two bidders in the running to buy Bradford Bulls – with an end to the protracted saga now looking to be in sight.
The governing body’s chief operating officer Ralph Rimmer yesterday held meetings with Bradford businessman Omar Khan and football club Bradford Park Avenue to discuss their rival offers for the club.
It is understood the struggling side could be under new ownership by the time it hosts Hull FC at Odsal on Saturday.
Former Sports Minister and Bradford South MP Gerry Sutcliffe, who is supporting Mr Khan’s bid, last night said he hoped a decision could be made before the end of this week.
