Success appears to run in the family for one household.
Father-of-three Naz Islam was as proud as could be yesterday after seeing his daughter follow in her sister’s footsteps – recording the same results as her sibling did two years ago.
And not only did 16-year-old Saarah Islam (pictured with Naz), a student at Samuel Lister Academy, Cottingley , manage to match the seven A*s and four As her sister Ayesha got two years ago, she now hopes to continue the tradition by matching the three As and a B her sister gained in her A-levels last week and follow her to study medicine at Leeds.
The aspiring surgeon said: “I was always hoping I would get good results because I want to go into medicine like my sister.” Naz said: “It’s been a good week for the family.”
