A teenager has been locked up for escaping out of a window when police came to arrest him.
Johnathan Bowes, 19, fled from his home at Chellow Street, Bankfoot , Bradford, when officers came to recall him to custody while he was on licence, Bradford Crown Court heard.
Yesterday, he admitted escape and was sentenced to 28 days’ detention in a young offender institution.
Bradford Crown Court heard he handed himself in to the police a week after running away from officers.
He had breached the terms of his licence after being released from a 28-month sentence for robbery imposed in August 2010.
