Darts players and sports stars joined family and friends to pay tribute to the 'voice of darts' Sid Waddell at his funeral in Pudsey today.
Cricket ace Andrew 'Freddie' Flintoff and five-time darts world champion Eric Bristow arrived at Pudsey Parish Church together for a service in memory of the broadcasting legend, who died after a battle with bowel cancer on Sunday, August 11, aged 72.
Other figures from the sporting world to join the congregation included Sky Sports presenter Jeff Stelling and chairman of the Professional Darts Corporation, Barry Hearn.
The packed service started with the hymn Lord of all Hopefulness, before tributes from Mr Hearn, commentator Dave Lanning and a eulogy by Mr Waddell’s son Dan.
