People are being urged to put their weight behind the campaign to keep children’s heart surgery in the region.
A special fundraising day is being held on Friday and people are asked to organise events.
Funds are being raised to fight the controversial decision to end heart surgery at Leeds General Infirmary for youngsters, including those from the Bradford district, who instead will have to travel to Newcastle or Liverpool.
When the decision was announced early last month it sparked a public outcry and nearly 3,000 people attended a demonstration.
Children’s Heart Surgery Fund director Sharon Cheng said: “We’re committed to saving children’s heart surgery in Leeds. We believe the consultation process was flawed.”
