Details of this year’s Bradford City Run have now officially been released – and organisers hope it will provide a race that has something for everyone.
As reported by the Telegraph & Argus in June, organisers of the notoriously tough half-marathon decided to change the route to a 5k loop from the city centre, with the option of completing it twice for those wishing to participate in a 10k race.
The run, which takes place on Sunday, December 2, will start and finish at the City Park , where there will also be a Sports Village for everyone to enjoy.
Councillor Andrew Thornton , executive member for environment and sport, said: “2012 is a major sporting year for the whole country and Bradford would like to end the year in style with our new-format City Run starting and finishing at newly opened City Park.
“We have a strong commitment to health and fitness through the b-active and Bradford Gold programmes. They are also a great opportunity for fundraising, including the Lord Mayor’s Appeal.”
