Energetic youngsters are being urged to join in the fun at this year’s Burley -in-Wharfedale Summer Festival with a host of activities designed especially for them.
The week-long event gets under way on August 18 with yoga classes for five to seven-year-olds followed by a street dance workshop for eight to 12-year-olds with a mini performance for parents and friends.
On Monday, the under-5s can enjoy a messy play session before 'Play in the Park', a popular free activity, with equipment for children up to 12 years in Grange Park.
Zumbatonic on Tuesday will give children between five and 11 the chance to take part in a healthy dance-fitness experience while over 12s can try Zumba routines later in the day.
The festival organisers have scheduled two further ‘Play in the Park’ sessions on Tuesday and Thursday but more adventurous youngsters can have a go on a climbing wall in Grange Park on Wednesday.
Full details of booking arrangements and ticket prices, where applicable, can be found via the summer festival link on the village website at burley-in-wharfedale.org.
