A convicted drug dealer affected by the fall in house prices has applied to moderate a £145,539 confiscation order made against him in June last year.
Philip Hullah, 55, of Ravenscliffe Avenue, Ravenscliffe, Bradford, was given six months to find the money or face going to jail for two years.
Hullah, who served a jail sentence for possessing cannabis with intent to supply and concealing a quantity of money, came back to Bradford Crown Court yesterday to vary the order made under the Proceeds of Crime Act.
The court was told a substantial amount of the confiscation figure was based on the value of two properties.
One had been sold for a lot less than had been reckoned and the value of the other had fallen. But an Isa had been cashed for more than had been estimated at the time of the last hearing.
Hullah was told to come up with documentary evidence before another hearing, fixed for September 18.
