The spotlight shone on City Hall as the “Starlight Star” visited to raise awareness of a night-time charity walk in aid of Manorlands Hospice.
The 10km Starlight Hike, on September 8 from 11pm, will start at Haworth Park and will include a visit to the grounds of Manorlands which will be lit with candles.
Richard Martin, Sue Ryder Manorlands event fundraiser said ‘We’re really excited about the Starlight Hike and are hoping to get over 1,000 people involved and raise over £100,000.
“This year we have decided to open it up to men and children to make the Starlight Hike an amazing night.”
The Lord Mayor of Bradford Coun Dale Smith (right), who is backing the walk, said: “It is a brilliant way for the community to support Manorlands Hospice.”
Entry costs £18. Anyone who wants to take part can visit starlighthike.org or phone the Manorlands office on (01535) 640430.
