Floral displays based on one of the world’s most famous children’s books will take centre stage at a flower festival.
Bingley United Reformed Church in Dryden Street, will be transformed into a Narnia wonderland, with snow-covered trees and floral depictions of creatures from other worlds during the festival, based on CS Lewis’s classic novel The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe.
The Flower Festival with a Difference, which will be created under the direction of Muriel Spencer Wilcock, includes 20 scenes from the book. It will be held over the the August Bank Holiday weekend, when the church will be open from 10am to 4pm on Saturday and Monday and between 1pm and 4pm on Sunday.
