A voluntary group has challenged vandals who wrecked a planter beside Guiseley Memorial Garden to own up.
Guiseley in Bloom was left horrified after its large planter on the edge of the garden was tipped over, spilling its contents out.
The vandals, who struck last Saturday, also attacked a second planter on a traffic island in the A65 Otley Road, where they pulled out plants and threw them into shop doorways.
The incident is just the latest in a series of attacks which Guiseley in Bloom says are sapping morale.
A spokesman for the group said: “We cannot understand the mentality of anyone carrying out this senseless destruction. This is the third time significant damage has been done to our planters. We're a small group of volunteers who raise money each year for bulbs and flowers to provide some colour for people.”
