Shoppers in Pudsey took a pit stop at Asda to check out a Marussia Formula 1 car.
The racing team took its show car to the Owlcotes Centre supermarket for learndirect’s Pit Stop Tour to put residents in pole position for taking their skills up a gear.
Staff from the training organisation were on hand to speak to shoppers and visitors about how they could boost their job prospects by improving their maths, English and IT skills or by taking up an apprenticeship position.
Sally McMahon, area head of learndirect operations, said: “Hundreds of people have already got their qualifications in Pudsey through learndirect and bringing the Marussia F1 Team show car along will hopefully mean many more talk to us about how they can learn new skills.”
