The funding agreement which will see the creation of Bradford’s first studio school has been signed.
Lord Hill of Oareford, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State For Schools, has signed the funding agreement for the new International Food & Travel Studio, set to open to its first students on Thursday, September 6.
It will be the first studio school in the district and the first in the UK to specialise in international food and travel.
The studio has a focus on developing students into employable young people and offers a range of key academic and vocational qualifications including GCSEs, A-Levels and BTEC Diplomas with specialisms in international food and travel.
Students will gain experience and develop employability skills on weekly work placements with high-profile local employers in the international food & travel industries, including the Aagrah Restaurants Group.
Aagrah managing director Mohammed Aslam said “The studio school is an exciting innovative learning experience which the Aagrah is delighted to support.”
