A pair of running fanatics from Bingley whose families have been hit by heart problems will tackle the Great North Run for Heart Research UK.
Gemma Smith and Andrew Ingham (pictured end left and right above), both 28, will take part in the 13-mile run from Newcastle to South Shields for the Yorkshire-based charity on September 16.
The duo, who work at Damart , decided to sign up for the challenge after members of their family were affected by heart problems – including Mr Ingham’s grandmother and grandfather and Miss Smith’s grandmother and cousin.
Mr Ingham said: “My family have really been through it the last few years and I am so grateful to Heart Research for the work that they are doing.”
