Bradford Park Avenue Football Club has followed sporting rivals Bradford City in the race to buy Bradford Bulls.
The semi-professional club has approached administrator Brendan Guilfoyle with a bid to save its struggling neighbours from collapse – although it is understood the offer carries a condition and could be rejected.
When contacted by the Telegraph & Argus, club chairman Bob Blackburn declined to comment.
Mr Guilfoyle, of The P&A Partnership, last night revealed he is expecting to meet the Rugby Football League today to discuss potential takeover deals, which include unconditional offers from Super League (Europe), Bradford City and an offer from Bradford curry house boss Omar Khan.
The administrator refused to confirm how many offers he has received, or the identities of any bidders, but said he had received between “one and five”.
The governing body has previously indicated it will not be able to accept any offer that carries conditions.
A spokesman for the governing body said: “The RFL is going through due diligence as far as bids are concerned and that process is ongoing.”
