Plans for a £3 million super-size farm shop on the outskirts of Skipton will be on show this week.
Keelham Farm Shop, an award-winning family business based at Thornton , Bradford, wants to create an “eco-friendly barn for the 21st century” on the the old Nicholas Smith garage site on Gargrave Road.
If approved, the development could create up to 60 jobs.
Gary Verity, chief executive of Welcome to Yorkshire, said: “We think Keelham Farm Shop will be a fantastic addition to Skipton’s tourism offering. “Skipton, often described as the gateway to the Dales, has so much to offer and something like this would certainly help to attract even more visitors.”
The plans will be on show at Skipton Auction Mart on Thursday, from noon to 7.30pm and the Keelham team will be on hand to answer questions.
