Bradford law firm Switalskis Solicitors has continued its expansion through a merger with another West Yorkshire practice to create a business with 11 partners and more than 200 staff.
Switalskis, which specialises in legal aid work and has an office in Darley Street, Bradford, has merged with Wakefield-based Green Williamson Solicitors, which has transferred its operations to Switalskis office in the town where it has operated since 1993.
Switalskis also has offices in Leeds, Dewsbury, Halifax and Huddersfield.
Lorrette Law, Switalskis senior partner, said: “Like Switalskis, Green Williamson Solicitors is a well respected law firm and this merger will help cement both firm’s reputations for delivering professional legal services across West Yorkshire and beyond.”
Green Williamson Solicitors, which dates back to 1889 offers a variety of legal services for individuals, in association with Pontefract-based Moxons.
Partner Richard Dennett said: “Our merger with Switalskis will allow us to strengthen the services we currently provide even further and ensure the needs of our clients’ can continue to be supported completely.
“Everyone within Green Williamson Solicitors is extremely excited to be part of this historic partnership.”
Earlier this year Switalskis nearly doubled its number of partners with five new appointments to handle a rising workload.
The firm has been shortlisted for this year’s Yorkshire Law Awards.
