A varied collection of contemporary art will be on display at the Harrison Lord Gallery to celebrate the first Brighouse Arts Festival.

The exhibition will open prior to the event tomorrow, giving people a chance to begin the festivities early with a great range of contemporary pieces from northern artists such as Kevin Haynes, Neil McBride, Phil Lockwood and many others.

The exhibition is joined by a selection of work from the Dean Clough Mill’s permanent collection, on display at Harrison Lord from August 18 and running throughout the festival until August 31.

On show will be three original works from David Hockney , Martin Cook’s intimate photographs of L S Lowry in his studio, work from Tony Earnshaw, Derek Hyatt and many more.
