A 21-year-old man who beat up his new neighbour, leaving him with bruised ribs and a cut above his eye, has been sentenced at Bradford Crown Court to an intensive community order.
Kayle Williams pleaded guilty to causing Brian Smith actual bodily harm at Christmas time last year.
The court heard today Williams and another man, who was never identified to the police, attacked Mr Smith as he moved into his new bedsit at a shared house in Otley Road, Undercliffe , Bradford. Mr Smith told the police Williams, who already lived in a bedsit in the house, punched him in the face and kicked him.
Williams’ solicitor advocate, Anne-Marie Hutton, said he had been held in custody for 121 days.
Williams, now of Sandford Road, Thorpe Edge , Bradford, was sentenced to an intensive community order for 12 months with 120 hours of unpaid work.
