Last week just one burglary occurred in the Bradford Moor , Bowling and Barkerend Neighbourhood Policing Team area.
But Inspector Andy Gallant said burglaries remain a priority for the team, and one burglary is too many.
Addressing an online Police and Community Together meeting, he said: “Recent figures are encouraging and show this to be a more difficult crime to get away with, and the chance of getting caught is a great deterent.
“Vulnerable properties are identified by my team and any trends are fed quickly to the community so crime-reduction strategies can be implemented.”
He warned people to lock doors when they go out and inform neighbours if they are going on holiday.
