Hundreds of fish valued at more than £20,000 have been stolen from a Bradford pet shop.
More than 460 Koi Carp and 30 Chinese Goldfish were taken from Newlyn Pets in Whitehall Road, Wyke when thieves broke in early on Tuesday, police have revealed. One of the fish, a 36-inch Koi Carp called Charlie is worth £10,000, while another 30-inch Koi is valued at around £2,000.
The Chinese Goldfish cost between £30 and £300 each.
The fish were taken from inside the pet shop and from an outside pond.
Police are now appealing for witnesses and information from anyone who may have been offered the fish for sale or who knows where they are.
