A 27-year-old suffered serious injuries to her fingers after getting them trapped will constructing a treadmill at home yesterday.
Firefighters from Fairweather Green were called out to release the woman, who was putting the equipment together in Ashwell Road, Manningham at about 3pm.
Ronnie Goldwater, watch commander at Fairweather Green, said friends had tried to release the woman for about 15 minutes before the fire service and an ambulance were called.
He said the woman had got her hand and fingers trapped while putting together the handrail for the treadmill and the weight of the metal had left her unable to get free.
He said the woman received morphine from paramedics before she was taken to Bradford Royal Infirmary.
