A badly-injured eight-year-old boy was rushed to hospital by air ambulance yesterday after a car went out of control in Bradford.
Up to ten police cars were scrambled to Keighley Road, Manningham, along with ambulances and fire engines after the incident, which happened at about 5.30pm.
A Yorkshire Air Ambulance helicopter landed in Lister Park to take the boy suffering from head injuries to Leeds General Infirmary where he remained last night.
Police said two other people were also injured, one with head injuries. The boy was believed to be a pedestrian.
The car involved, a white Mercedes-Benz E220, ended up on its roof.
The driver was being held in police custody last night afer being arrested at the scene. Police closed Keighley Road between Oak Lane and Emm Lane while they dealt with the crash.
