Ragbir Singh built a business on his interest in technology - he loves gadgets and how they can help us.
The 38-year-old intended going into IT and after a course at Shipley College went to work with Bradford Council. He spent nine years there, latterly as IT training officer, before leaving to do freelance web design.
Two years designing websites to meet clients' specifications enabled Ragbir to build up a database of clients.
In 1999, with his network of customers in place, he launched Webmotion. Initially working out of offices in Horsforth, a year later he moved to The Design Exchange in historic Little Germany in his home city of Bradford.
Last year he moved to his current premises in Chapel Street, where the business is rapidly expanding to meet the boom brought about by the technological revolution.
Webmotion creates website design and development for a wide range of clientelle.
"We specialise in working with marketing and advertising and design agencies," says Ragbir.
Bradford University and Bradford Vision - the district's Local Strategic Partnership, involving public, private and voluntary sector organisations - are among the high-profile clients he deals with.
According to Ragbir, the greatest changes within his work related to the fast pace of technological progress.
"There has been a lot in terms of the way broadband is opening up," said Ragbir.
"There's a lot going on, a lot of marketing and promotion work out there. It is all opening up."
Investing in the latest technology is essential to Ragbir's business.
"You've always got to look at what is the latest software development and technology," he said. "You have to make sure you have the right tools and skills for the job."
