Bradford charities will be given a boost as two residents take on sought-after work placements.
It is part of the Vodafone Foundation’s UK World of Difference programme, which has seen 500 people across the UK selected to work for charities of their choice from more than 5,000 who registered an interest in taking part.
Ian Egglestone and Christine Airey, of Bradford, have both won places on the scheme, which will begin next month.
Mr Egglestone will begin a placement with Artworks, a creative learning programme working with disadvantaged families and children with learning difficulties and physical disabilities.
Mrs Airey will work with the Bradford Community Environment Project (BCEP), which aims to add to the sustainable regeneration of Bradford, through environmental programmes.
