A former youth worker and children’s entertainer, who was jailed four years ago for child porn offences, has admitted breaching a Sexual Offences Prevention Order imposed at the time.

Robert Potter, 33, formerly of Little Horton Lane, Bradford, but now of Tunbridge Wells, Kent, pleaded guilty at Bradford Crown Court yesterday to four charges of breaching an SOPO, imposed at Maidstone Crown Court on September 28, 2007, by being present with a child under 16.

He denied two further breaches of the SOPO, by possessing a laptop computer and iPad capable of downloading material from the internet, and the prosecution was granted seven days to decide whether to proceed with those charges.

Judge John Potter adjourned sentencing until February 27 for probation reports, but warned Potter he must prepare himself for an immediate custodial sentence.

The judge added: “It is a serious and flagrant breach.”

Potter, who had previously provided services for children’s parties under the name DJ Robbie, worked on cruise ships as a children’s entertainer, and had been involved in youth training at Charlton Athletic football club, was jailed for 12 weeks in 2007 after he was found to have more than 250 indecent images of children on his computer.
