Building work is due to start on a new £200,000 community hall in Steeton.
Architects are now drawing up detailed plans for submission to Bradford Council's building control department ready for contractors to start the five month project in May.
The hall will be built on parish council-owned land alongside Skipton Road, next to Steeton bowling green, and replace the old bowling hut.
Councillor Andrew Mallinson (Craven, Cons) said the new facility was desperately needed. He said: “The old bowling hut is substandard. It is very compact and it leaks.
