Members of Bradford’s Jewish community gathered to remember the Holocaust yesterday.
Among them were survivors of the Holocaust, and people who have fled other genocides across the world.
They attended a ceremony at Victoria Hall, Saltaire, commemorating Holocaust Memorial Day. This year’s theme, Speak Up, Speak Out, encourages people to speak out against hatred and discrimination.
Among those attending were the Lord Mayor of Bradford, Councillor Naveeda Ikram, representatives of Bradford’s Jewish community, other faith groups, local schools, people with disabilities, trade unions and gay, lesbian and bisexual groups.
