Residents of a Bradford street, who have been waiting more than a fortnight for a street light to be switched on, are expected to see the electricity supply reconnected next week.
The lamp in Myers Avenue, Bolton, was knocked down in an accident on January 6 and repaired three days later by the Council.
A spokesman for Northern Powergrid told the T&A last week it would be switched on last Monday, but has now said it will be switching on two street lights, in Myers Lane and Myers Avenue, next week.
He said: “The work to restore power to the Myers Avenue street light has been brought forward as a priority..”
Meanwhile a meeting has been called between Bradford Council, Councillor Russell Brown (Con, Worth Valley) and residents of Oldfield, to discuss a street light in the area which it is believed has not been switched on for more than a decade.
