The team behind a show paying tribute to Radio Luxembourg wants to hear from local performers interested in taking part.
“We are looking for performers, male or female, who would like to enter our Cliff and Elvis lookalike contest,” says writer Todd Slaughter. “We’d also like to hear from a local dance school which would like to perform our ‘Ovaltinies’ routine – the iconic Radio Luxembourg Ovaline commercial – as part of our show.”
The show, Battle Of The Giants, is a musical comedy paying tribute to the radio station that kickstarted the careers of many big-name broadcasters.
At each venue, local performers will be invited to compete to be the best Cliff and the best Elvis, with auditions taking place before the show. The audience choose the winners, who will appear in a final later in the year.
