A planned extension to a house in New Laithe Close, Skipton, has been refused because of the impact on a neighbour. Craven District Council’s planning committee had been recommended to approve the first-floor bedroom extension at the back of 9 New Laithe Close and single-storey sun room extension, also at the back. But councillors refused the application on the grounds there would be an unacceptable loss of amenity to a neighbouring dwelling.
