Police have begun regular patrols around Eastburn Mills, targeting anti-social behaviour and groups of youths congregating.
The move was revealed in the police’s monthly report to Steeton-with-Eastburn Parish Council about local crime.
The councillors met PCSO Donna Holmes, who has moved to the area and begun patrols in both villages.
December showed an increase in crime over previous months, with four burglaries.
There was an arson attack in Eastburn, one theft from a vehicle, one threat to commit criminal damage, two incidents of criminal damage and one public order offence.
