A leading councillor has hit out at officers for failing to let supporters have their say on a major decision for improvements near the notoriously-congested Saltaire roundabout. People who objected to a proposed 20mph scheme in Nab Wood and Moorhead were told to attend the Shipley Area Committee meeting earlier this month, after members threw out the plans.
But the Council only sent acknowledgement letters to those supporting the traffic calming scheme, leaving many unaware a major decision was being made.
Bradford’s Green Party leader and Shipley, Councillor Martin Love, said that was a “clear breach of procedure”.
A scrutiny committee will hear the plans at a meeting at City Hall tonight.
