A couple fled from their house after a car parked on their drive was deliberately torched.

The car, a VW Polo, had been parked close to the house in Harvest Mount, Thackley, when it was set alight at about 12.40am today.

A neighbour saw the fire and told the couple to get out of the house. Firefighters from Idle and Shipley were called to put out the blaze before it spread to the house.
