Wharfedale Air Cadets have won the Sir Douglas Bader ‘Wings Appeal’ for fundraising.
The cadets, who already held the trophy for their fundraising efforts last year, won it again by raising £8,834 for the appeal.
The total raised was the highest for any squadron and means they will keep the Sir Robert Saundby Trophy for another year.
Representatives from the Squadron will be attending the Royal Air Forces Association Conference later in the year for an official presentation.
Last week, the cadets had a visit from Darrell Slater-Smith, area director of the Royal Air Force Association and Harry Dowson, from Skipton RAFA, who told them how the organisation supports retired and current members of the Royal Air Force and their families.
