For three decades PC David Robinson has been helping fight crime in his hometown of Otley and neighbouring communities.
But now, as he approaches his 55th birthday and the end of 30 years service, the father-of-three is to retire.
As the officer manning Otley Police Station’s front desk for the past five years he has often been the first person the public have come into contact with. He said: “The reason I joined, and the best bit, has been being a community based copper with a real, avid interest in Otley. I also have to say I really enjoyed driving fast cars.”
