Bingo sessions and tea dances are being organised in Bracken Bank at the request of the estate’s older residents.
They have grown out of two coffee mornings held before Christmas to gather the ideas of local people aged over 50.
Staff and volunteers at the Sue Belcher Community Centre on Bracken Bank Avenue want to organise new activities for all ages.
Bingo nights, open to those aged 16 and over, will run every Saturday from this weekend, from 6pm to 8pm.
The Sue Belcher Centre can be contacted on 01535 667221.
