A sculpture by renowned artist Gordon Young, created in Bradford in 1985, is set to be relocated to a key city centre site.
Foundation Stones was originally located at the former Provident Financial head office at Sunbridge Road, and has now been given to Bradford Council.
The authority proposes siting the Mansfield stone sculpture, which is being refurbished by the artist, on a patch of open space on Hall Ings, opposite the Broadway shopping centre site.
A bid for planning permission has been submitted by the Council, and it is hoped a decision will be made next month.
in 1985 Mr Young spent a three-month placement creating the sculpture in the former company flat on the roof of the Provident Financial head office building.
The two figures, which are approximately seven feet tall, represent the relationship between a Provident agent and customer.
