Buttershaw St Paul’s Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society is celebrating its 80th anniversary with a production of family musical Oliver!
The show, which runs at St George’s Hall from Tuesday until Saturday, is billed as the most expensive production the society has ever produced.
Chairman Anne Tonks, who plays Widow Corney, said: “This is a great new version of the most successful British musical of all time directed by Kevin Moore, who has worked tirelessly with a talented and enthusiastic cast.
“The children have been delightful – I am confident that this show will leave everyone wanting more.”
